I have a family member who was recently laid off from work, and is trying to sort out what the next step is. There are not really tons of available jobs right now, which makes it a little trickier too... They would qualify to go out on disability, I would think, though they're not thrilled with that idea. It's unfortunate that some people have abused the Social Security Disability system so much that it's tricky to get it, and that there is a bit of a stigma attached. Some people really do need it! It's encouraging to find resources online that can help folks navigate
disability insurance, and can help them to get what they truly are entitled to. I'm printing out information and saving it up to share... Hard stuff to figure out but so thankful for all the info that's out there!
